Text objects can now be repositioned and scaled with the click of a mouse using the new text box. Users can now select the text tool, click in the comp window and start typing, making the accurate placement and generation of titles faster and easier than ever before. The grid is totally user configurable via the new Grids Palette and users can elect to have objects in the scene snap to the grid or the guides or both. Now includes a very useful grid and guides feature. New preferences allow users to define max texture size and display the size of each layer of text in pixels. New professionally-designed material presets can be found in the Materials Palette. Image processing shaders create new compelling materials previously not possible. Shaders can also be applied at texture, shape or scene levels for even greater flexibility. If you would like to share details of the looks you were generating in FX that you’re having trouble with in Continuum I will offer you any guidance that I can to get you going in the right direction. There are over 50 individual auto-animating transitions, each with a deep set of professionally designed presets to get you started - you can use them as-is or customize them, developing your own unique custom preset library. For transitions, I would suggest looking into the BCC Transitions that you have in Continuum. Title Studio is a real time graphics generator and with that it replaces the titling function of RED with more features and hardware acceleration. So while RED/Graffiti/FX are indeed deprecated products and no longer under development, you can find many similar titling and transition effects in the Continuum package which you purchased to replace RED in your workflow. There’s even a cross grade option for users of our legacy products to come up into the new products, which are many times faster with a vastly improved feature set … and don’t forget about the hardware performance. It offers blazingly fast graphics generation, with vector resolution independent 2D/3D titling and animation and is the way forward from the legacy RED, Graffiti, FX products. Title Studio is fully GPU accelerated and renders on hardware by Nvidia and ATI. In response to these performance issues, we created Title Studio, which is included in Continuum. These products, although popular, relied on a scanline renderer via the CPU and while they were feature rich, the render was a little too slow for todays massive files and speedy workflows.
